The AO Base Clutch Kit by KWI is your go-to solution for transforming the performance of any Can-Am X3 running the QRS clutch system. Designed to correct factory inefficiencies and deliver full power to the ground, this kit gives you adjustable tuning for any terrain, tire size, or power level. Now updated with the option to add your choice of KWI Groovix Helix (DR3 or #4 cut), the AO Base Kit goes even further in offering cooling, belt grip, and shift curve improvements for a more responsive and reliable drive.

Whether you ride dunes, desert, trails, rocks, or mud — or you’re just tired of slipping belts and sluggish response — the AO Base gives you the control and performance you’re looking for.

Overview: Engineered from scratch after hundreds of hours of testing, the AO Base Kit includes our proprietary adjustable AO weights, a precision-tuned primary spring, and the ability to run your choice of Groovix Helix for further gains in belt grip and cooling. It delivers better backshifting, stronger acceleration, and more consistent performance across a wide range of setups — with or without a tune.

If you choose to add a Groovix Helix, you’ll benefit from KWI’s patent-pending cooling technology, which draws airflow through the clutch and reduces belt temperatures while providing belt-squeezing shift angles to eliminate slip and improve longevity.
