UTV Wheel Adapters

UTV Wheel Adapters for Bolt Pattern Conversions

UTV wheel adapters solve one problem: the wheels you want don't match the bolt pattern on your hubs. An adapter bolts to your hub using the factory pattern and gives you a new pattern on its face, so a set of UTV wheels built for a different machine will bolt right up. It's the fix when you find a good deal on a used set, want to share wheels between two machines, or like a design that isn't made for your make. Fueled UTV carries SuperATV wheel adapters in several common conversions, including Polaris 4/156 to 5x4.5, Yamaha and Suzuki 4/110 to 4/156, and Can-Am and Kawasaki 4/136 to 4/110.

Some adapters change stud size instead of bolt pattern. SuperATV makes Polaris adapters that let you run wheels drilled for 3/8" studs on a machine with 12mm studs, and the reverse. Adapters also add thickness between the hub and the wheel, often 1.25 to 1.5 inches, which pushes the wheel out and widens your stance. Account for that extra width when you check tire clearance and fender coverage. If your wheels already fit and you only want a wider stance, wheel spacers are the simpler choice. Make sure you have the right lug nuts for your new wheels, and check the product page for your exact make, model, and year before you order.

FAQ

What do UTV wheel adapters do?

A wheel adapter changes the bolt pattern or stud size on your hub so you can mount wheels made for a different pattern. The adapter bolts to your hub, and your new wheels bolt to the adapter.

What's the difference between wheel adapters and wheel spacers?

Adapters change the bolt pattern. Spacers keep your existing pattern and only push the wheel outward. Both add width, so either one will widen your stance.

Which bolt pattern conversions do your UTV wheel adapters cover?

Current options include Polaris 4/156 to 5x4.5, Yamaha and Suzuki 4/110 to 4/156, and Can-Am and Kawasaki 4/136 to 4/110. Check each product page for exact fitment.

How do I find my UTV's bolt pattern?

Check your owner's manual, or on a four-lug hub, measure center to center between two studs directly across from each other. Confirm your stud thread size too before you order adapters or lug nuts.

Will wheel adapters affect my tire clearance?

Yes. Adapters are often 1.25 to 1.5 inches thick, which moves the wheel out from the hub. That can help clear suspension parts, but it also changes where the tire sits under the fender, so check clearance before you ride.

Do I need to re-torque wheel adapters?

Yes. Torque the adapter to the hub and the wheel to the adapter to the manufacturer's spec, then recheck both after your first ride. Loose adapters are a common cause of vibration and damaged studs.
