SDI CFMoto ZForce Z10 E-Link Dynamic Sway Bar System

The SDI E-Link system brings intelligent sway bar control to the CFMoto Zforce Z10 and Zforce Z10-4, automatically adjusting between stability and suspension articulation based on terrain, vehicle movement, and driving conditions.

No more choosing between a connected or disconnected sway bar. E-Link works with the SDI E-Clik system to automatically lock and unlock the sway bar as conditions change, delivering control when you need it and suspension freedom when the terrain demands it.

  • Automatic Engagement: Locks and unlocks based on vehicle movement, driving conditions, and the selected E-Clik terrain mode.
  • Improved Stability: Reduces body roll during cornering, carving, side-hilling, and higher-speed driving.
  • Better Articulation: Allows greater independent suspension movement over chop, transitions, rocks, ruts, and uneven terrain.
  • Manual Control: Lock or unlock the sway bar directly through the E-Clik touchscreen.

Stop Choosing Between Stability and Articulation: A connected sway bar improves stability and body control, but can limit independent suspension movement over rough and uneven terrain. A disconnected sway bar improves articulation, but can allow additional body roll during cornering, carving, and side-hilling.

E-Link eliminates the need to choose one setup for the entire ride. The system dynamically changes sway bar engagement based on what the Zforce Z10 is doing.

  • Unlocks when greater suspension articulation is needed
  • Locks when additional body control is required
  • Responds automatically as terrain and driving conditions change
  • Works with the selected E-Clik terrain mode
  • Eliminates manual sway bar disconnect decisions

How E-Link Works: E-Link dynamically controls sway bar engagement using vehicle behavior and terrain information provided through the E-Clik system.

When the Zforce encounters rough, uneven, or technical terrain, E-Link can unlock the sway bar to allow greater independent suspension movement. This helps the tires follow the terrain and allows the suspension to move more freely through chop, transitions, rocks, and ruts.

When steering input, vehicle movement, or driving conditions require greater control, E-Link locks the sway bar to reduce body roll and improve stability.

The system also provides manual Lock and Unlock controls through the E-Clik touchscreen for drivers who want direct control of sway bar engagement.

Terrain Mode Behavior

  • Trail Mode: E-Link prioritizes suspension articulation at lower speeds and over technical terrain. The sway bar remains unlocked while crawling through rocks, ruts, and uneven obstacles, then locks as speed, steering input, or vehicle movement requires additional stability.
  • Desert Mode: E-Link remains unlocked through much of the rough terrain to allow the suspension to move freely over chop, whoops, and repeated impacts. It locks during cornering and other conditions that require additional body control.
  • Dune Mode: E-Link remains unlocked over straight-line chop and transitions, allowing the suspension to move freely and follow the terrain. During carving and side-hilling, the system locks earlier and stays locked longer to provide increased body control and stability.

Dune-Specific Sway Bar Control: Dune driving places different demands on the sway bar than traditional trail or desert driving. The vehicle may need maximum suspension movement while crossing straight-line chop or transitioning between terrain, followed immediately by increased sway control while carving or traveling across the side of a dune.

E-Link Dune Mode is designed around these rapidly changing conditions:

  • Straight-Line Chop: Keeps the sway bar unlocked to allow greater independent suspension movement.
  • Transitions: Remains unlocked so the suspension can respond freely as the terrain rises and falls.
  • Carving: Locks earlier to reduce body roll and improve control as the vehicle changes direction.
  • Side-Hilling: Stays locked longer to provide additional stability across angled terrain.

This strategy allows the Zforce Z10 to maintain suspension compliance when traveling straight while providing the body control needed during aggressive directional changes and off-camber driving.

Automatic Control With Manual Override: E-Link is designed to operate automatically through the selected E-Clik terrain mode. The driver does not need to stop, exit the vehicle, or manually connect and disconnect the sway bar as conditions change.

For situations where the driver wants direct control, the E-Clik touchscreen includes manual Lock and Unlock functions.

  • Automatic: E-Link responds to terrain mode, vehicle movement, and driving conditions.
  • Manual Lock: Keeps the sway bar engaged when maximum body control is desired.
  • Manual Unlock: Keeps the sway bar disengaged when maximum articulation is desired.

Designed to Work With E-Clik: E-Link integrates with the SDI E-Clik system to coordinate sway bar behavior with the selected terrain mode. This allows the shocks and sway bar to work together as one complete suspension-control system.

  • Trail, Desert, and Dune terrain-mode integration
  • Automatic sway bar engagement and disengagement
  • Manual Lock and Unlock functions through the E-Clik touchscreen
  • Vehicle-specific programming for the Zforce Z10
  • Coordinated shock and sway bar behavior
