- We were able to gain another 30hp with Cams at 8650 rpm's
- 300hp at the crank with Cams, Tune and Slip on exhaust!
Notes:
- These steps are different than the service manual. Do not follow service manual steps
- Steps for starting your Pro R stage 3 and above for the first time.
- Roll the engine over by hand at least 10 revolutions clockwise when looking at it from the rear.
- Check Cam timing to make sure it is correct
- Make sure coolant and oil is at the correct level.
- Start the engine and hold above 2000rpm until it reaches 170 degrees F.
- Using the throttle drop rpm 50 rpm per 30 seconds until idle seems unstable.
- Stay at the unstable rpm until it becomes stable and then repeat step 5.
- Once the machine is idling at 1450 stable with no throttle input let sit and idle for 10-15 minutes.
- Your machine is now ready to ride.
- On higher duration cams it is common to need to give a little throttle to start the vehicle this is completely normal.
