Will a UTV seat base fit my Polaris RZR XP?

Most of the seat bases we carry are designed specifically for the Polaris RZR XP, including the XP 1000, XP 4 1000, XP Turbo, XP Turbo S, and RS1. Check the product fitment notes to confirm compatibility with your model year before you order.

How much does a seat base lower my seat height?

It depends on the product. The Kemimoto seat lowering base drops seat height by one inch, while the SuperATV base lowers you 1.5 inches. The Rock Ready Gen 4 offers three recline settings that reduce head clearance by between 1.5 and 2 inches depending on the setting.

Is the install straightforward on an RZR XP?

For RZR XP fitments, installation is generally easy. Most packages include an instruction sheet and the necessary screws. Note that Polaris General installations may require cutting a small plastic piece under the seat base in the rear to make room. Check the product notes for your specific model before starting.

Can I use a lowering seat base on the Polaris General?

The Rock Ready Gen 4 has been tested with PRP, Simpson, and Pro Armor seats, but does not work with Beard, Corbeau, or Triple X seats due to seat latch interference with the steel frame.

Is the steel construction durable enough for hard trail use?

The bases from SuperATV and Kemimoto both use 1/8" thick heavy-duty steel with a CNC laser-cut and brake press bent finish. The Kemimoto base adds a powder-coated black finish for rust resistance.
