Fuel and Water Storage for Your UTV
A stock tank gets you to the trailhead, but extra fuel and water storage gives you more range for longer rides. This UTV fuel and water storage collection includes RotopaX gas cans and water packs in 1.5 to 3.5 gallon sizes, along with Fire Power stackable containers, SuperATV jerry cans, and Thumper Fab 5 gallon utility jugs. Riders who want more range without carrying a can have RPM Powersports auxiliary fuel tanks that add up to 9 gallons on the Can-Am Maverick X3 and Maverick R and drop into the factory space behind or under the seats on the Polaris RZR Pro R. Every container needs the right bracket, so we also stock RotopaX pack mounts, the Trail Armor mount for the Polaris Ranger and General, the Ravek MOLLE quick-detach tank and mount, and the Polaris fuel transport kit for the 2025 RZR Pro lineup. These mounts keep your fuel containers secured while you're riding. Filter by vehicle to find products that fit your machine, or browse by capacity to find the amount of fuel or water you need.

FAQ
What is the best way to carry extra fuel on a UTV?
A dedicated fuel container in a bolt-on mount is the safest setup for off-road use. RotopaX gas containers with a pack mount are the most common choice because the mount locks the can in place and the cans stack when you need more capacity.
Do RotopaX gas containers fit a Can-Am Maverick X3 or Polaris RZR?
RotopaX containers are universal, so fitment comes down to the mount. We carry pack mounts that bolt to flat surfaces on most Can-Am and RZR models, plus vehicle-specific brackets like the Trail Armor mount for the Polaris Ranger and the RollpaX roll bar mount sized for RZR cage tubing.
How much extra fuel can I add with an auxiliary fuel tank?
RPM Powersports auxiliary tank kits add anywhere from about 5 to 9 gallons depending on the model. The Can-Am Maverick X3 and Maverick R kits hold 9 gallons across two tanks, while the Polaris RZR Pro R options run from a 5.2 gallon tank behind the driver's seat up to an 8.5 gallon dash mount tank.
Can I use the same RotopaX mount for fuel and water containers?
Yes. RotopaX fuel and water packs share the same mounting pattern, so one pack mount or bracket works with either container, and a pack mount extension lets you stack a water pack on top of a gas can.
Where should a fuel container be mounted on a UTV?
Mount it outside the cab on the bed, rear bumper, or cage, never loose in the cab or near the driver's seat. A locking mount keeps the container from shifting on rough terrain and positions the fuel away from heat and passengers.
Which containers should I use for water on a UTV?
The RotopaX 2 gallon water pack and the RollpaX 1.5 gallon water container are sold specifically for water and use the same leak-proof roto-molded construction as the gas cans. Keep separate containers for fuel and water rather than switching one between the two.
Are these UTV fuel accessories in stock and ready to ship?
Most items in this collection ship the same day from our warehouse. RotopaX containers and mounting kits are sold separately, so add the container and the matching mount to your cart together and the whole setup arrives at once.
