Replace it with our muffler without a catalytic converter and you are likely to get some backfire on decel. You won't throw a code, you won't damage your engine, and you get the performance and sound the muffler is built for. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIf you want less backfire, run 87 octane and ease off the throttle on decel instead of snapping it shut. This helps reduce it noticeably.
